Thin-layer chromatography (TLC) was conducted using 209,210,211At radionuclides produced by the irradiation of a stack of lead targets with a 7Li beam. Astatine chemical species were separated and identified as astatide (At－), astatate (AtO3－), perastatate (AtO4－) by TLC on silica gel with the mobile phase of ethanol/water. The TLC results exhibited distinct behaviors between the astatine solutions containing the reducing agents. The underlying mechanism is discussed. |
