Interaction of high-energy cluster ions with matter has attracted considerable attention in various fundamental researches and applications, because of a massive energy deposition into a very small volume in solid materials. In the last financial year, the interaction of C_2 negative ions with a helium gas target was studied for the improvement of the transmission efficiency in a tandem accelerator. The interaction of C_n (n=1, 3, 4, 8 and 60) ions with a Gafchromic film was also investigated for its use as a possible mean of a beam profile measurement.
