内容記述 The toroidal flow generation mechanism by electron cyclotron heating (ECH) in stellarator / heliotrons is clarified by comparing the LHD and HSX experiment results. Radial diffusion of energetic electrons by ECH produces a cancelling return current, which then generates a j x B force that can play an important role in the toroidal rotation in the ECH plasmas. The authors investigate the perturbed electron distribution by ECH by applying GNET code, which can solve the 5D drift kinetic equation for the energetic electrons. The authors evaluate the j x B force and the collisional force due to the friction of the toroidal drift motion of the energetic electrons. As a result, a significant j x B force due to ECH is obtained and it is found that the forces produced by ECH could change the toroidal flow in a non-symmetric configuration. The authors evaluate the toroidal flow velocity and compare simulations with LHD and HSX experiments. We reproduce the co-rotating toroidal flow quantitatively in the balanced-NBI+ECH heated case, but we see a difference in the toroidal flow profiles in the co-NBI+ECH heated case. Moreover, the obtained flows have good agreement with ones in HSX experiments.
