The surface morphology of the plasma-exposed targets was examined with a field-emission scanning electron microscope. Cross-sectional observations of nanostructures formed on the F82H target surfaces were performed using a transmission electron microscope equipped with an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer. It has been shown that nano-sized fiberlike layers are formed on the target surfaces under D plasma exposure. Micro-sized surface morphology pattern depends on the D fluence.
