For ecological toxicity tests of radiation and other environmental toxicants, we investigated an aquatic microbial ecosystem (closed microcosm) in the test tube with initial substrates, autotroph flagellate algae (Euglena, G.), heterotroph ciliate protozoa (Tetrahymena T.) and saprotroph bacteria (E.coli) [1].
