3. ITER 中性粒子入射装置（NBI）で要求される高出力負イオンビーム加速を実証するために、現在イタリア・パドバのコンソルツィオRFX 研究所にNB 実機試験施設を建設中である。今回，海外渡航が困難な状況にあったが、技術管理を継続するために日本から遠隔で統合試験に参加することとした。2021年初頭の定格出力試験完了を目指して試験が継続される予定である。
